According to an analysis by Citibanamex published in the newspaper El Universal, almost a third of Mexican households (30%) will pay for OTT services in 2025, led by Televisa’s Blim and Netflix. The mexican OTT video market is set to generate over $220 million income in less than ten years, stated the study.
Televisa’s video-on-demand (VOD) services are the fastest to grow in the OTT space in the region, providing Netflix a tough competition. Blim is the second most used OTT platform in Mexico after Netflix, available throughout Latin America.
