According to a recent study by Strategy Analytics, VR uptake in the UK is going to be a ‘slow burn’ this year, amounting to only 3% of Brits owning VR headsets. The research stated that 92% of the VR hardware sales will be for basic smartphone models such as Samsung Gear and Google Cardboard.

The Gaming console attached VR headsets such as PlayStation VR will account to 7% sales and the PC-tethered VR headsets such as Oculus Rift and HTC Vive will account for only 1% sales in the UK. The research stated that around 2 million Brits will own VR headsets by the end of year and will account to £62 worth of sales.
