Over 30% of UK houses with broadband have atleast one video streaming service, and the numbers are growing. It is growing so well that anyone who doesn’t have an OTT solution is building one. The competition is huge, with Netflix ever expanding its library and getting into new geo-locations, Amazon Prime’s simplest signup procedure (which has actually become a norm). Apart from quality, there is focus on using data to ‘up’ the services. It is now about providing more value and improving relationships with the customers to keep them on the platform.
