French VOD platform Molotov has now upgraded its streaming resolution to 4K. Molotov content can now be viewed in 4K on multiple devices including 2017 Samsung Smart TVs, Apple TV, Nvidia Shield, Sony Bravia UHD TVs, Chromecast Ultra, and Android compatible devices in 4K.

The 4K capability is available for select channels and is exclusive to subscribers who pay for the service. The free video streaming service shall still offer content in 720p. Molotov has also launched the ‘Molotov TVTest’ tool which can be used to determine whether their devices are 4K compatible or not.
