Many consumers pay for multiple streaming services as streaming video has become part of consumer’s daily entertainment diet.
More than 49 million homes or 53% of U.S Wi-Fi connected homes accessed at least one over-the-top (OTT) streaming TV service as per December 2016 data from ComScore.
Some other findings from ComScore included :
75% of OTT homes subscribed to Netflix making it a leader in the streaming space as of last December whereas YouTube was viewed in 53% of those homes, Amazon Video represented 33% of homes and Hulu represented 17% of homes.
