Paraguay had more than 549,000 pay TV subscribers which is up by 11% compared to previous year. This is as per data from regulator Conatel, published by Paraguay.com.py.

Tigo which is currently the market leader reported 273,000 subscribers. This is up by 14% compared to previous year. DTH service, Personal TV reported 56,000 customers vis-a-vis 41,000 reported at the end of 2015. The company uses the Tuves platform.

Claro’s subscriber base remained at 137,000 subscribers as per Conatel’s data. This data is excluding the numbers from Claro TV+ which is the IPTV service which the Company launched in June in Asunción. Copaco’s IPTV service rose by 10% and had about 6,000 subscribers. Other operators had 78,000 customers.
