Growth in internet and broadband penetration and the ease of availability of various OTT and VOD services, have given a typical viewer more option today than ever before.

According to Bewkes, the classic film streaming service FilmStruck that launched last fall is a great example of how the Company is making its way into the way people watch video . He compared it to HBO which has forever been a premium addition to a basic cable bundle.

Viewing habits of Millennials and Generation Z are quite different. A recent survey conducted by Deloitte on consumer technology, media and telecom trends reveals that almost 99 % of young viewers watch video content and multitask and are more likely to watch video content on a mobile device than on an actual television. The concept of channels is almost extinct for the younger generation of consumers says Kevin Westcott , Lead- U.S Media and Entertainment , Deloitte.
