Time Inc announced some major investments in video and OTT during their NewFront presentation held in NYC on May 5, 2017. This was part of it’s pitching efforts to advertisers. One of the highlights at the event was “People/Entertainment Weekly Network” which is to be a free , ad-supported video streaming service. Also their Xumo OTT platform is currently built into nearly 60% of smart TVs in the US. With a combined audience of more than 100 million, People and Entertainment Weekly will broadcast original, long-form celebrity, pop culture, lifestyle and human interest series, specials and live event coverage. More than 100 hours of original programming will be offered with it’s launch this fall .Besides new programming will be included daily along with a potent library of over 50 hours of content.

Xumo which is an OTT platform that enables providing content easily from major digital publishers like Time, BuzzFeed, Conde Nast and more made some major announcements at the NewFront Even though the content is owned by Time Inc, Xumo now has 78 content partners.Read More
