With the arrival of white label VOD platform content providers like #netflix and strengthening of laws, industry now believes it’s possible to put the brakes on the content pirates. Slingshot general manager Taryn Hamilton said its statistics showed web traffic to BitTorrent file-sharing sites across the CallPlus network – including Slingshot, Orcon and Flip – had been dropping, while paid streaming was increasing.
