According to a new UK TV viewing research by GfK, 98% of content from over the top services like Netflix, Amazon and Now TV is viewed in home smart TVs. The study also stated that to much surprise there is a low audience numbers on mobile devices.
When asked which devices they used to consume video streaming services over the course of a week, only 4% of OTT subscribers said using a smartphone and just 10% said they used a tablet. In fact, time spent watching OTT content on mobile devices is 2 hours less than time spent on other devices.
