Cable, phone and Internet providers are among the most disliked companies by customers, with Comcast being tied for second-to-last among all major companies for consumer satisfaction.

That’s according to the American Consumer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) year-end report, which analyzed how customers rated industries and companies from the fourth quarter of 2014 to the end of Q3 2015.

Of the five that improved, three are Internet-based — online retail, social media, OTT video services and online travel services. Internet retail increased 5.1 percent to 82, “demonstrating that consumers are embracing the online channel for its convenience, efficiency and price,” the report said.
