Comcast is partnering with FX Networks to introduce a video streaming service called FX+ which lets Xfinity TV subscribers to upgrade to a platform that features commercial-free seasons of all FX and FXX original series.

It will be launched on 5 September and will let Xfinity TV customers to add to their existing video packages, this new service for a cost of $5.99 per month.

FX offers more than 1,100 episodes of original programmes from the last 15 years which will be rolled out over a period of time. The entire FX+ roster will be available in 2018.

FX+ content will be available to FX+ subscribers through Xfinity On Demand, the Xfinity Stream app and website and FXNOW.

Future plans include offering some series in 4K as well as temporary downloads of current season episodes.
