Amazon launches Bollywood SVOD in the U.S.

Amazon channels recently announced launching a new SVOD called Heera – a curated Bollywood (Indian movies and TV series) collection for the U.S. audience. The new service will be available for 7 days free trial and will be charged at $5 a month, afterwords. The OTT service will offer movies, TV shows and kids content in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu for Amazon Prime members in the U.S.

Heera will be the second branded SVOD launched by Amazon, which allows Amazon Prime Video members to supplement their SVOD subscriptions with add-ons like HBO and Showtime and curated offerings from programmers including NBC, Discovery and AMC Networks.
