Argentina’s Red Intercable, formed by 270 local cable providers, is planning to launch an over-the-top (OTT) video streaming platform for its pay-TV service dibox. The two services from Red Intercable – dibox Play and dibox One, both offering video on demand services will be integrated in the new service.

“The platform’s upgrade will bring better coverage across Argentina and more capacity, enabling live distribution of 47 HD signals and 90 SD networks,” said the company. The company also said that they deliver across 560 cities and towns across Argentina, with a potential target of 9,00,000 households.
