Eliminating the need of a separate app or extension to sling any VOD platform content from any device or web browser to TV, Google has integrated its Cast service to the Chrome browser. Websites that have Cast integrated will now feature an icon when the user is on the same network as the Cast device.
This also supports Chromecast HDMI streaming media player. Users will now be able to view their content on TV with just a few clicks with Cast added to Chrome. It was noted that in August people casted content using Chrome browser 38 million through the Chrome browser.
