iQIYI, the Chinese online video platform, reaches a milestone of 100 million paying subscribers, after the streaming company gained enormous popularity in overseas countries like South Korea, North America, Japan, and Singapore.
The company mainly produces movies, shows, and original TV programs and distributes its content to overseas audiences through local streaming channels. As the streaming service crossed the mark of 100 million subscribers, the brand is now willing to expand to other foreign countries and establish a worldwide reputation.
iQiyi’s President of Membership and Overseas Business, Yang Xianghua, commented: “Given more time, I think we can have a lot of opportunities in other markets globally”.
