iQIYI, the Chinese video streaming platform, is all set to expand its streaming services across 10 countries within the South East Asia. In a recent event at APOS conference in Indonesia, the company disclosed its expansion strategy with a strong intention to widen its market dominance globally.
With this move, iQIYI mainly plans to attract more audiences from countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand & Vietnam and accordingly is investing a huge amount in creating local content as per the interest of South East Asian streamers.
As per present stats, iQIYI has more than 500 million monthly active users, out of which one-third are paying subscribers. Other than subscription model, the online video platform also offers ad-supported streaming service to retain viewer engagements.
