iQIYI unveils kids SVOD app

iQIYI is going to introduce an online video streaming app for smart TVs, QIYI Guo. QIYI Guo is developed in collaboration with galaxy Internet TV and uses Artificial Intelligence system to offer customized recommendations for viewers.

The chinese SVOD app, QIYI Guo provides children access to content from a library of children’s stories, songs, animation as well as English language and early educational programming.

Duan Youqiao, senior vice president, iQIYI quoted, “With the launch of QIYI Guo Kids Edition, iQIYI has become the first online video platform to provide premium paid content for children in China. This represents an important step forward for us as we explore opportunities in the paid-for children’s content market.”
