According to a recent survey conducted by Broadband Genie, as many as 39% respondents would prefer cancelling their TV subscriptions to watch video content on one or the other streaming platform. This amounts to losing about 10 million out of 25 million total TV subscribers noted.

Netflix remains one of the most popular VOD service being signed-up by 63% of the Brits, holding over 33 million subscribers, whereas Amazon is expected to gain over 40 million. 43% of these respondents also thought that TV licenses should be cheaper and 73% said that Britain is better off with BBC.

    There’s a misquote in here – on Broadband Genie’s page they state that “But despite this shift toward online TV, 73% say that Britain is better off with the BBC”.
