According to a recent survey, some 55% of Americans, including 77% of Millennials said they are interested in streaming their favorite games online rather than watching it on cable. Some 29 % of viewers including some 43 % of Millennials said they would cancel their cable subscriptions if they could stream the professional football games online.
Consumers across the board are being empowered by the new age technology and are demanding better, customized content. More than four in 10 viewers, and more than seven in 10 constant social media users (who check their social media outlets more than once an hour) stated that social media brings them closer to the game.
