According to a latest research by Thinkbox, total video viewing in UK is in mass increase year-on-year. The research also notes that TV accounted for 74.8% of video viewing in UK in 2016, which was a little less as compared to 76% in 2015.

The total video viewing has increased from 4 hours and 35 minutes a day in 2015 to 4 hours and 37 minutes in 2016. Live TV accounted for 60% of video viewing, down from 61.6% in 2015 and recorded TV accounted for 10.8%, down from 11.4% in 2015. However, broadcaster VOD viewing was up, standing at 3.9% of total video viewing, as compared to 3% in 2015. YouTube accounted for 6.4% of average video viewing in 2016, up from 4.4% in 2015.
