A new study by MoffettNathanson states that, majority of OTT consumers want to access their content at anytime and anywhere suitable to them but won’t like paying much for it. According to the survey, only a third of the consumers believe that OTT Video streaming Platforms should cost $40 or more, whereas the majority believe them to cost $30 or less.
$40 price is crucial as Hulu is planning to price its slimmed-down OTT service scheduled to be launched in the next year at $40. The survey also found out that consumers are more loyal towards regional sports and would prefer watching ESPN, TNT and FX than the internet driven live video services.
