Nordic SVOD and OTT service

Nordic consumers are showing great enthusiasm towards OTT content. As per research, currently, 5.3 million households in the region subscribe to at least one SVOD service.

Research also claims that 850 000 new SVOD households were found to have been added compared with the same period last year. In the growing regions, Norway is the front-runner with Sweden and Denmark are closing in. About 280,000 Norwegian households subscribe to three or more SVOD services.

Apart from enthusiasm towards OTT services, the economic capacity of the consumers in the Nordic regions are another factor that is fueling the streaming rage.
