Spotify announces the integration of targeted ads on its podcasting service. Now, advertisers can target users, who are streaming podcasts, with relevant ad campaigns and can trigger instant action.
Earlier, advertisements on Spotify were only meant for free-tiers music listeners, but with this development, advertisers can reach out to the podcast’s listeners too.
Commenting on the announcement, Spotify tweeted: “We aspire to develop a more robust advertising solution for podcasts that will allow us to layer in the kind of targeting, measurement, and reporting capabilities for our ads that run alongside other content experiences like music and video.”
