According to research, people enthusiastic about watching video games are more likely to opt for SVOD platforms. Research also suggests in the US, UK, and China, people who watched video games take an average of six SVOD services, compared to between two and three for non-gamers. Among the video game watchers, 70% watch streaming video services several times in a day in comparison to 56% for the average users. However, only 26% of game stream viewers watch dedicated eSports events.
Among the US SVOD users 35% watch OTT content more frequently than terrestrial or cable TV. When it comes to video streaming platforms, Netflix tops the list in the US and UK with arch-rival Prime Video is watched by 50% of the US respondents and 48% of the UK respondents.
