Tanmaya is the Director of Engineering- Integrations, Intranet and Extranet. His dedication, sincerity as well as helpful attitude makes him quite popular amongst the teams. He joined Muvi 5 years ago in 2018 and it has been a memorable and pleasant journey with him. Recently we met him and asked about his experience so far with MUVI. When we were having coffee virtually, a lot of memories popped up.
Why did you join MUVI?
Well, there are so many reasons:
Exciting industry: OTT companies operate in the digital streaming and entertainment sector, which has seen tremendous growth and disruption in recent years. Joining an OTT company can be exciting due to the dynamic nature of the industry and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and innovative products.
User reach and impact: OTT platforms have a wide user base and can reach millions of people globally. Joining an OTT company provides an opportunity to work on products and services that have a significant impact on application security, performance, stability, scalability & availability.
Technological innovation: OTT companies often leverage advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, Microservices, and big data analytics. Working in such an environment allows professionals to stay at the forefront of technological advancements and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
Growth potential: The OTT industry has experienced rapid growth in recent years, and it is expected to continue expanding in the future. Joining a successful OTT company can provide individuals with the potential for career growth and advancement as the company scales and evolves.
2018 to 2023: Almost 5 years is quite a long journey. What motivated you to stay here that long?
5 years have been a dream working here at Muvi. There are so many reasons which propelled me to strive further and work at Muvi.
Career Growth: My long-term career goal is to commit to lifelong learning and skill development by staying up-to-date with industry trends, seeking out relevant training programs, attending workshops, and considering pursuing additional certifications or degrees, on the management side actively seeking feedback from colleagues, supervisors, and mentors. Their insights can help me identify areas for improvement and guide my professional development. In many of my past experiences, this was very limited/minimal to zero but in MUVI I can find everything when it comes to learning and exploring with amazing mentors with proper guidance and training.
I always try to take on new challenges and responsibilities to work on projects or tasks that push me out of my comfort zone but getting such an opportunity was rare. Still, in MUVI I feel lucky to get an opportunity to work in many complex things like Microservices, VD, Security, Performance, Cloud computing, and part of the Leadership team which raises my hunger even more and always motivates me to work hard.
Work-Life Balance: I believe MUVI probably is the first and last organization of mine where, the manager forces to go home being late, and approves leave on the same day before a couple of hours with just one Phone call/email, unless something extremely critical, no one works in a weekend, flexible timing with permanent work from home, a dedicated event for a family day are some of the rarest of features here at Muvi which makes me continue working at Muvi.

Do you have any future plans with MUVI?
To be honest, the future is something unpredictable we never know what happens tomorrow, but so far what I have seen, Muvi is doing great on his own without any back support/investors. Muvi has come up with a few more products as solutions and in fact few of them are already Hit. Muvi has already got a brand where people all across the world now recognizes Muvi as one of the best end-to-end solution provider, my personal vision is to see MUVI as the global leader in the field of OTT possibly from where I can have my retirement.
Any advice to people who want to join us?
Different people have different tastes in work life, but for those who want to have one perfectly balanced work-life balanced, a flat & open working culture environment with endless learning and exploration platform, Muvi is the best place to join where individuals can explore new ideas/innovations on their own irrespective of the technologies, get acknowledged and rewarded for each piece of hard work and dedication.
