12% French Internet Users Subscribe To VOD

Around 12 percent of French internet users subscribe to an Subscription VoD service at present and 65 percent know of it, according to a recent survey by Mediametrie. The market researcher also found that about half of the 30 percent of French internet users (aged 6+) who have watched VoD, have tested SVoD at home or elsewhere.

SVoD users are overwhelmingly under 35 years-old (69%), an 50 percent of them live in a home with at a child under 15. In addition, 62 percent of them are men, 34 percent are in an upper socio-economic bracket and 29 percent are students.
