According to reports, 17% of the U.S. consumers rely solely on SVOD services to watch online videos which are 6% up than the previous year’s number. While the millennials prefer to stream online videos and 42% of adults aged 25 to 34 subscribe to three or more video streaming services, as per studies young adults (age 18-24) are less likely to subscribe to three or more OTT services.
Research also suggests that 32% of adults use both transactional and subscription video services with 24% only use transactional services. Smart TVs are on the rise like never before and millennials were the first to adopt SVOD services.
