The South African media giant Naspers is all set to expand its subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service in ShowMax, starting from Poland with a localized version of its service. “This new service is closely tailored to local needs, with a strong focus on Polish content – including original productions commissioned by ShowMax,” said ShowMax.

The new subscription video streaming platform will feature Polish movies and TV shows majorly for now and will increase its international content libraries as it expands into other regions. ShowMax has acquired a range of content licenses and rights of local shows including political satire Ucho Prezesa (Ear of the Chairman).
