Disney-owned streaming service ESPN+ has clocked more than 2 million subscribers in less than a year after the launch.
Launched in April 2018, the channel added over 1 million subscribers within September. The huge growth has come in the later part of the year. According to Disney, the 5-years agreement with UFC has led to this expansion whose first program added more than 600,000 sign-ups to the channel.
The CEO of Disney, Bob Iger, has said, “We expect the expansion of combat sports content on the streaming service to drive continued growth in the months ahead.”
