Facebook to Prioritize long-form Videos in Feeds

Over last few years, video views on Facebook has taken up huge. Facebook has been trying to promote both user generated as well as advertising videos to gain the traction of streaming and videos. Due to the huge popularity of Facebook videos, brands are taking it seriously. General Motors, for example, launched its electric Chevy Bolt EV through Facebook Live this year.

Mobile advertising has been the big high for Facebook videos in this year. Facebook had $6.8 billion in advertising revenue, in the July-September quarter, a 59% increase from the last year. Mobile advertising accounted for 84% of this. Facebook earned $2.38 billion during the Q3, 82 cents per share. Total revenue rose by 56% to make $7.01 billion, surpassing analyst expectations of $6.92 billion.
