Netflix and Hathway Broadway aim to deliver video streaming services

Online streaming service Netflix inks partnership with Hathway Broadband in India

Online streaming giant Netflix has signed strategic partnership with cable broadband provider Hathway to deliver video streaming services to Hathway’s subscribers in India. Under this deal,  Netflix will be offered through Hathway’s set-top box that includes a remote which will allow users to launch streaming service.

Rajan Gupta, Managing Director, Hathway quoted, “In this smart and digital era, customers are looking at leading Internet entertainment services like Netflix to access high quality, well-produced entertainment. The soon-to-be launched Hathway set-top box will make watching streaming videos on large screens an incredible experience. The Hathway set-top box will be bundled with our high-speed, unlimited fibre-to-home monthly plans.”

In India, video on demand platforms including Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are vying for consumers’ attention. Netflix has recently stepped up its  local Indian game with the production of India originals.
