Consumers attribute this rise to content accessibility (full seasons on demand, and multiscreen) and affordability.
54% of OTT consumers stated that lower prices as compared to other entertainment options and mobile viewing options were big reasons for subscribing to OTT platforms.
Key figures in the report indicate that 49% switched to OTT platforms because they liked curated content catalogs. In younger households, 18% said they were subscribing to OTT services because they didn’t have pay-TV.
