Some encouraging news for Fox’s Scream Queens: in addition to a strong first showing in its first live-plus-three day ratings, Fox is touting sizable video streaming platform audience growth for the horror comedy.

Scream Queens, which saw a disappointing live-plus-same day debut, improved 59 percent among adults 18-49 in Nielsen Media’s first round of DVR views. That puts it at a 2.7 rating among adults 18-49. Still ranking below the night’s other freshmen — The Muppets jumped to a 3.8 in the key demo and Limitless pulled a 2.9 rating — it’s skewing much younger. It currently ranks No. 1 among adults 18-34 and teens among new shows.

In a play for eyeballs elsewhere, Fox also issued a release Sunday morning noting that VOD and streaming views of Scream Queens hit 1.8 million viewers in its first three-day window — just a hair better than Empire did when it premiered in January. (All told, 7.3 million viewers have tuned in so far.)
