Zimbabwe operator TelOne has obtained a broadcasting license for video-on-demand (VoD) services from the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ), reports ITNewsafrica.

Although initially set for June 2017, delay in regulator’s licensing conditions postponed the launching of the OTT platform. The online streaming platform currently boasts 100,000 internet subscribers on both fiber and ADSL. It aims to build on changing habits for consuming audiovisual content in Zimbabwe.
