Wynk Music gives tough competition to JioMusic in India

Wynk Music, the OTT music app of Bharti Airtel has crossed 75 million app installs and recorded 100% spike in Indian regional music streaming.

The company revealed that 13% of the active user base is from the rural market and it contributes nearly 10% of the overall daily audio streams.

In its quest to outdo Reliance Jio from the Indian streaming industry, Airtel has made its entire content catalog on Airtel TV to its postpaid and prepaid users on a free subscription basis till mid-2018. The telecom giant is offering enhanced content bouquet by adding over 300 TV channels, and over 6000 plus movies and popular shows.
