HD (High Definition)

HD (High Definition) video is video of higher resolution and quality compared to SD (Standard Definition). HEVC or High-Efficiency Video Coding is a video compression standard. It is also known as H.265 and MPEG-H Part 2. HLS (HTTP Live Streaming)

Based on MPEG2-TS, HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) is Apple’s patented streaming format. It is an adaptive streaming communication protocol. Initially, HLS was used only for Apple devices.  Now it is supported by other devices like Android-based smartphones.
