How to Track User Generated Content Analytics

Many online video websites/platforms have now enabled UGC or user generated content so that end-users of video platforms can now upload & publish their own video/audio content alongside savouring exclusive content.

Using Muvi’s platform, end-users can not only upload and manage and monetize their content but also track the performance of the uploaded content through analytics.

What is UGC?

User-generated content, which is alternatively referred to as user-created content, is any form of content, such as videos, audio, images, text, etc that has been posted by end-users on online platforms.

So, while your end-users consume content from your OTT platform, they can upload and monetize their own created content on your platform and reach out to viewers worldwide!

Muvi allows you to enable User Generated Content & monetize the same via multiple monetization models. You can enable your content partners/end-users to upload & publish their own video/audio content  to your streaming platform without any hassles!

What’s User Generated Content Analytics?

User Generated Content Analytics shows the details of the content uploaded by the end-users. You can view the name, email address of the uploader, number of views of the content, total number of uploads and number of comments received for a specific content. You can view the graphical representation of the data as well as you can view data on a specific date. Also, you can search for a specific user by typing his/her email address in the search bar.

How to View User Generated Content Analytics

  • Go to “Analytics” –>”User Generated Content” in your CMS
  • The graph on the left-hand side shows the real time data for better understanding
  • Select the date range from the calendar on the right-hand side. You will see the data on a specific date.

Different Columns of User Generated Content Analytics

Email: Email column shows the email address of the uploader

Uploader Name: This column shows the name of the uploader

No of Uploads: This column shows the total number of uploads by a user

Total Views: This column shows the total views of a specific content uploaded by a user

Total Comments: This column shows the total number of comments received by the viewers for a specific content.

Search Options in User Generated Content Analytics

You can search the content uploaded by a specific user by using the search function.

  • Type the email address of a specific user in the search bar and hit enter.
  • The search result will display the details of content uploaded by the user.

Wrapping Up,

User generated content is an exciting feature not many video streaming platforms support. By enabling support to UGC you would not only open doors for more viewers to subscribe to your platform.

Muvi allows you to gather User Generated Content & monetize the same via multiple models.
