Automation Engineer
The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for web and Mobile & TV testing on the Muvi platform. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Java, Selenium/Appium automation, along with the ability to guide QA engineers and drive automation best practices across multiple products.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of test architecture, automation best practices, and Agile delivery models and should be able to collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web applications using Java, Selenium WebDriver/ Appium, and TestNG/JUnit.
- Ensure automation coverage for critical business workflows across the Muvi platform.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster feedback.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to review requirements and identify automation opportunities early in the development cycle.
- Build and maintain reliable test suites that support frequent product releases.
- Analyze automation failures, debug issues, and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
- Contribute to test strategy, automation best practices, and quality improvements across projects.
- Define, track, and report QA KPIs such as automation coverage, defect leakage, test execution efficiency, and release quality to drive continuous improvement.
- Leverage AI-powered testing tools and modern QA technologies to improve test design, test maintenance, and overall testing efficiency.
- Support release validation activities including smoke testing and production readiness checks.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in QA Automation with strong hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in Mobile Apps testing.
- Strong programming skills in Java with hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver/Appium.
- Experience working with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber (BDD).
- Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding/testing tools to improve testing productivity.
