Swedish music streaming giant Spotify has introduced a standalone app for Cadillac which will enable the Cadillac owners to access the app without a phone. The app which is integrated into the infotainment system will use the built-in 4G LTE connection, a feature which is available in most new models from the US manufacturer. Integration of Spotify results in the ouster of Android Auto, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay etc. The inbuilt Spotify app will have similar Homepage and the app suggests playlists recommended for the road. Without a data connection even, the cache can store multiple songs on a playlist. Spotify is visible on the main audio screen alongside FM and AM radio.
