British Streaming Service BritBox launches in U.S.

BBC Worldwide has announced the launch of its subscription based OTT service – BritBox into the U.S. The service offers a large collection of British television series for U.S. users, many for the first time, at a monthly subscription cost of $6.99.

The service will have a combination of programs that were earlier available to UK audience and those of classic programs, in an advertising-free format. In some cases, the company says, new episodes will hit onto the service only a day after being aired overseas.
