YouTube is reportedly all set to scrap its “unskippable” 30-second long advertisements on the platform. The Google-owned site confirms that it will now focus more on formats that work well for both users and advertisers, starting 2018.
According to YouTube, most of their video views come from mobile users and a 30-second ad negatively affects users data plans. The company reported to now focus on rolling out more user-friendly, bite-sized ads on its video site.
