Hotstar announces to stream Disney+ movies & shows to its premium Indian subscribers at no extra cost. With this, Hotstar becomes the most affordable streaming option to offer Disney+ catalogs to OTT consumers.
Earlier, this April, Disney confirmed its entry of video streaming service – Disney+ to US market in November at just $7 per month. As Hotstar has already a massive audience base in India with more than 300 million monthly active users, it’s a great strategy for Disney to gain popularity among Indian viewers.
Hostar, being a subsidiary of Star India, which is now owned by Disney, offers a monthly subscription plan at $4.30 (INR 299) and a yearly plan at $14.50 (INR 999).
