iHeartMedia is all set to integrate its digital radio and on-demand streaming services into Layer3 TV’s television service, according to Billboard. iHeart is to be included as an app within Layer3’s “homepage environment” that will be added to its long list of cable, on-demand and live-stream channels.

The purpose of the app initially is to encourage users to let them browse iHeart’s channels or to start an artist radio channel with ease and let them save favorites as presets for fast navigation. Soon the company plans to include integration for users who don’t have Amazon Echo or Dot to be connected to iHeart’s integration of Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s home voice activation abilities.
