Louisville Free Public Library has partnered with Kanopy to start a trial run offering video streaming service. There will be access to more than 30,000 films for free to the library card holders.
The library card holders can stream five films per month by installing the video streaming app, Kanopy on their respective devices.
The Communications Director of LFPL, Paul Burns, has stated that there were a bunch of requests from teachers and professors to make documentary streaming available for the students. And as Kanopy already has a huge reputation in the education sector, there could not be any better choice than this.
Burns has also cleared that as video streaming service is totally new to LFPL, they have limited it on a trial basis.
