According to a recent Ampere Analysis report, the overall number of video on demand households continue to rise globally and among these, SVOD-only homes are on the highest rise. The research states that the proportion of households ditching traditional TV and taking on SVOD is on the rise.
The research shows that US is the biggest SVOD-only market, having only 10.4% TV households, leading just ahead of Denmark by 10% and Germany being the fastest growing market in SVOD-only homes. US even has the highest number of Subscription video streaming services, having an average SVOD customer paying for 2.5 services per home.
