According to reports, music streaming services have overtaken radio among the British youngsters. Online music streaming services now account for 8% of all audio listening in the UK. 15-24 year old Brits spend around 29% of their time on listening to online streaming music, and 9% using music video channels/ sites for background listening.
The report also claims that 51% of 15-24 year old Brits now stream music on a weekly basis. More than 79% prefer to go for a subscribed music. Among the music streaming services, Spotify is the most popular streaming services with 51% of weekly streaming subscribers. Around 9% of weekly streaming listeners subscribe to both Spotify and Amazon Music.
