Popular streaming giant, Netflix, is expanding its podcast space to increase user engagement beyond the watch time of its TV shows and movie content. According to sources, the streaming giant has started to engage with multiple pitches from outside producers. The OTT giant finds the podcasting medium to be promising and is expected to invest more in this space.
Jonathan Bing, spokesperson for Netflix stated, “Podcasts are an excellent way for fans to connect with our stories and talent, and our marketing team plans to make more of them.’’
