Since the 2013 launch of Netflix in the Netherlands, it has been growing in almost every quarter of these years, and supposedly, it is about to reach a saturation point. Though the Dutch Videoland started moving very slowly at first, it has been showing a powerful growth for the last eight quarters.
The analysis report of Dutch Video behavior has shown that one out of every 10 households, where the young generation resides, does not have a subscription for a traditional TV as they enjoy watching live streaming more on OTT platforms.
Though Netflix and Videoland are enjoying their growth, Amazon Prime Video, or other video-on-demand platforms such as Lyca TV, Cinetree, MUBI, and many others are yet to make a mark in the VoD industry of the Netherlands.
