If reports are to believed, Spotify may try it hands soon into the hardware business. Spotify, until now has been dependent on other company’s products to reach users. The Swedish audio streaming platform is currently available in desktop, web browser, and mobile-app versions.
However, the step from Spotify seems significant as Spotify Connect which is supported by products from companies such as Amazon.com Inc., Sony Corp., and Ford Motor Company. Also, Apple’s Homepod is not supporting Spotify and so as Apple Watch. So according to industry insiders its right time for Spotify to think beyond the boundaries.
